Metal Photo Service, Inc. Metal Photo Service was started in 1954 primarily as a "prepress" house to the printing industry. With the advent of the computer and desk top publishing systems, and as printing moved from the letter press to offset presses and high speed copiers, Metal Photo evolved into etching images on metal.
